Literature Text

Our love was virile,
It held on through
The terrifying act
We were about to do

To save our love
What we had to do
Would hurt them deeply
But our love was true

They didn’t approve
Of our binding revere
Which burned much deeper
Than theirs could persevere

They wouldn’t allow
Us to be
The only way to escape
Was to set ourselves free

Into my eyes
He looked so deep
We both knew
We had to leap

To save our love
Our hands held fast
As we turned together
And breathed our last

To save our love
We chose our fate
And traveled together
To that sacred gate
Proof that I should never write poetry. My mind has been on love and stuff ever since I read the Twilight series again. Blah, good going Stephenie Meyer.

Also, I toyed around a lot with the placement of the "paragraphs" (can't think of the poetical term for them right now). So it can really be read several ways.

Do not steal (though I don't know why you would). This poem is copyright to me!
