So..it's been quite a while right? Well I haven't had Internet or anything since my birthday (which was 7 months ago) so I've been reduced to using either the library computers or my grandma's computer (which was dead for a while and has just recently been resurrected). So, time for updates!
I don't know if I posted this before or if I've announced it or whatever, but I just thought you all should know that yes, I am bisexual. I like the ladies. ^_~ Quite a bit more than the guys actually. Just thought you should know.
In other news, somebody tried to break into my house on Saturday morning. Yeah. Okay, replay:
6:30 am Saturday: I woke up to the noise of the front door rattling (the front door is right next to my bedroom door). I thought it was my mom going outside for some reason because I thought it was like really late in the morning before I opened my eyes. So that sounded reasonable. But then I roll over and look at my clock and it says 6:30. So I'm like, "What the heck are you doing waking up at such an ungodly hour on a weekend?"
So I get up and go to the front door (the rattling had stopped by now), and look out the window (the door has a window on it), but she's not out there. Suddenly, I hear the back door rattling (I live in a mobile home so the back door is all the way on the other side of the house near the door to my mom's bedroom). I think that maybe she locked herself out somehow (a stupid thought, I know. But I just woke up okay?)
So I walk on towards the back door (which also has a big window on it) and I see a huge, big, black figure through the window struggling with the knob! I freeze for a second (it's always been a really weird yet strong fear of mine to see someone standing outside a dark window) and then I press myself against the wall next to the door, crouch down, and hold on to the door knob as he tries to turn it. Thank god the dead bolt was locked or he would have gotten in already.
The guy struggles with the knob for another thirty seconds. My mom is literally like three steps away through the next door, but she's fast asleep and I can't call for her without the person hearing me. Finally, the guy gives up (he probably realized someone was holding the knob when it wouldn't turn anymore) but I'm afraid he's still waiting near the door, so it takes me a few seconds to look through the door window again to see that he's gone. When I confirm that he is, I dash into my mom's room and tell her someone's trying to break into the house. As I say this, we both hear the front door rattling again.
She jumps out of bed and turns on all the lights she can as she goes. She runs to the front door and pushes all her weight (which isn't much) against it (the front door has really flimsy locks). I grab two butcher knives from the kitchen as we pass by it and hand her one. Then she whispers to me to go call 911 as quietly as she can (she doesn't want the guy outside to know it was just us two girls alone ((though we're pretty sure he already knew that)) ).
So I run back to my mom's room to grab her cell phone. With our Internet we also lost our home phone. I dial 911 but the call is lost. We have almost no reception in our house at all. I have to actually stand by the back door to get one bar to call 911. It takes a full two minutes to get reception and call.
Back at the front door mom hears the guy walk down the gravel driveway and he speeds away in his car with the headlights off.
The cops came not 3 minutes later. There were wet footprints on our back deck but that was it. So now mom and I are freaked out in our own home. My grandpa is putting a heavy duty lock on our front door for us, but I don't think I'll ever get the image of that large, shadowed man out of my head. I freak out every time I pass by that door in the dark now.
